The company that hosts this site may process standard request information such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page, and request time. Those logs help deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose faults. Retention depends on the host’s operating policy.
The contact links open your email service. If you write to webmaster@prettyfakes.com, the message may include your address, name, headers, and anything you choose to send. Messages are kept only as long as needed to answer, document a correction, protect the site, or meet a legal obligation.
Cookies and analytics
Pretty Fakes does not set its own cookies and does not load an analytics or advertising service. A future service will not be added silently; this policy will change if the site begins using one.
External links and embedded content
Articles link to product documentation, reporting, and other websites. A destination may collect data under its own policy after you follow a link. The current site does not embed third-party video, social posts, or interactive product widgets.
Affiliate links
The site may later earn a commission from a clearly labeled affiliate link. A destination or affiliate network may receive a referral parameter and process request information after a click. Pretty Fakes will place a disclosure near any article that contains such a link and will mark the link appropriately.
Data retention and requests
Pretty Fakes does not maintain user profiles. Email and correction records are reviewed when they are no longer needed. You may ask about or request deletion of information sent by email, subject to security, recordkeeping, and legal needs.
Children’s privacy
This magazine is written for a general creative audience and does not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent information may contact the site for review.
Policy changes
The effective date will change when this policy changes in a meaningful way. Earlier copies may be retained for internal records.
