		<description>Very very interesting.  I feel twinges in a few of my attitudes.  Why CAN&#039;T we have thoughtful, compelling superhero stories?  There&#039;s no law that says superhero stories have to be trashy (better tell the Irish to lay of Cuchulain and the Greeks to give up on Hercules, Orion, and the rest).

It is, as your thoughtful posting strongly implies, partly a matter of the quality of the minds of the creators.  Interfered with, as most good things are nowadays, by idiot corporation marketing ploys.</description>
