The Sandusky Review Moves Out, Thinks It’s So Grown-Up Now

faked by Monday, July 7th, 2008

A-hoy hoy! For many moons now, my central project has been the Sandusky Review artifact, which are my little stories and cartoons and drawings that are put on paper, without internet magics. We even have a little category over there to the right, if you click on it, hey, there’s lots of stories about how hard it is to write and, I guess, draw (It’s really fun, though, don’t believe me about how hard it is).

But forget all that! PrettyFakes is primarily a place where we talk about art, or the art we’re making, or, you know, how much we love Casanova (the answer is: VALOMILK!). So I wanted a little home for the Sandusky Review of its very own, and Dave Ashes made it for me, which is Reason #1,728 why he is Great (the other 1,727 are “sending mean letters to our ‘web host/antipodean enemies’).

My favorite part is the little mouse-over thingy that tells you what each issue is. GO TRY IT OUT IT’S SO COOL! (Also, download the zines and then read them over and over again and convince yrself that it is a beautiful world after all). The next issue, “Chopping Tulips,” is sitting on my drafting table (with New Orleans drink recipes and lots of story you haven’t read yet). And then D-Trane has already written a sequel to The Grief, the John Tindime story . . . this is going to be a fun summer.

WOW! This is cool I still have some reviews in the ‘Ville, if the locals would like them in person. But the site, man, it’s just cool.
