The Greater Jackson Arts Council is sponsoring “Live & Let Draw,” a James Bond-themed art contest. After a few false starts I settled on a idea: my favorite Bond movie growing up was Thunderball, and I’d document the movie through a series of Polaroids.
Easier said than done. Roy Adkins and Jerri Sherer helped me rig up a tripod and lighting (with a patented flash snorkel!) that ultimately resulted in some pretty clear shots, as you can see from above.
I ultimately gathered about 32 shots in continuous order, and slathered them with quotes. (Yes, I know this quote is from Goldfinger):

You can check out Roy’s entry over at his blog at Vindauga.
Update: Roy has posted a good, non-blurry version of the final entry. Thanks for doing that, Roy! Sorry I now have to beat you!

This is rad, although when I saw the first two photos I thought you’d had a wild weekend.
Agreed (on both counts). I especially love the splash of green amidst all the blues and reds on line 3.
I gotta admit, though, I’ve always been a From Russia with Love man myself.
Maybe I should just start campaigning for the people’s choice award now, although you might have a better shot at that one too!
