This Is Where The Post Goes.

faked by Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

So I compiled this little Polaroid collage and it was called “Two of Hearts” and it had some palm trees and also some metal in it and then I scanned it and then I put it on my little jumpy drive and then apparently it got eaten by the ethers. So, tomorrow, then.

Still working on the new Sandusky Review but it has been extremely slow going. What started out as an illustrated folk-horror story evolved into . . . well, an illustrated folk-horror story, but not in the way I thought it was going to be. It ended up being a meditation on typeface as much as inhumanity and loss.

I need to start creating more and stop brainstorming. I freaked out in the shower this morning and almost fell down when I had a new idea for another Sandusky, one that I really can’t way to start working on, and I’ve still got to print and staple the second print of the first one, reprint the second one with the new covers (and color them), and finish the scratchboard drawings for the third . . . so the portraits and short stories of Axl Rose, Mike Watt, and Sebastian Bach will have to wait . . .

All that being said, there are reprints of the first issue (available with or without a Polaroid, your choice) and the reprints of the second issue will be done this week. Write me if you want a copy—pay me with stamps or film, however you need to do it. I’ve gotten lovely prizes from so many people—my favorite so far being some amazing Polaroid shots—and I love sending things out in the mail. Drop me a line!

“Axl Rose, Mike Watt, and Sebastian Bach”

Is this from their days as a crime-fighting trio?

WHERE’S THE NEW POST?? There really wasn’t one, was there? This was all staged just to build up the moment. That’s low. Reeeeeeal low.
