Heavy Chevy.

faked by Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

This blue 1972 Chevelle is down at Horace Slay’s on State Street, complete with “Heavy Chevy” badges.

Sally just wrote to ask “why you hate you blog,” but it’s really because we’ve got some changes in store for Pretty Fakes over the next two weeks, which we think are going to be pretty amazing.

Also, I’ve been working day and night on the next Sandusky Review, and the writing is now finished. This artifact—tentatively titled “Sleeping Aides and Razor Blades“—is a flipbook that literally revolves around the Jitney 14 and the lives of an ex-couple. Where the last Sandusky had a glossy photograph attached to the cover, this one is going to be much more ragged, more Xerox than Polaroid.

I’ve also reconsidered my previous thoughts about never reprinting the first volume. There have been just too many people write, call, and comment about wanting one. I’ll be reprinting some of those the same time the new ones get folded and stapled, and there will likely be a little deal where you can buy both together. If you’re interested, just drop me a line as always.

Also:

I realize there is something wrong with me. Make your own with the Atari 2600 labelmaker.

  1. “Ghost of the King Edward” is twice as hard as that Raiders of the Lost Ark game. And that was hard.

I’m gonna max out on some Pitfall!
    and Barnstorming this weekend.

    I made my own.
    LOOK LIKE ELLIS
    ..as in, Warren Ellis.
I’ll send you the jpeg if you’d like.

“Heavy Chevy” is now the name of Gorj’s Southern metal band that he doesn’t know he fronts.

I’m sorry, is that chevy selling for $1200 or $12,000?
I’m not sure which would freak me out more.
    nice picture, by the way.
