No, not because I bet on the State/LSU game, but because I bet Roy and the DJP that, after LSU’s dismal first half performance, they’d drop to No. 8 in the BCS come Monday.
I am going to lose that bet.

Whilst cleaning out the legendary PF database I stumbled across this post. It was written in the year 2000, when apparently I didn’t know how to use capital letters, and when I apparently “blogged.” The shame!! Some of it surprised me but most of it is still valid, seven years later.
This blue 1972 Chevelle is down at Horace Slay’s on State Street, complete with “Heavy Chevy” badges.
Update: the word is that Ginger’s show was a HUGE success. Also, PrettyFavorite Donna Ladd purchased “Poolside at the King Edward,” which delighted me to no end. Donna is not only a dear friend, she’s a personal hero, and one of the people I credit with making Jackson the place that I want to live my life. A photograph of her and Stanley Dearman—taken by the invincible Kate Medley—is hung in my bedroom to remind me of all I believe in and how great Mississippi can be.
