I’m at a stopping stage at what I’m tentatively calling Sing Myself To Sleep, a portrait of the artist Roy Adkins (I’ve already posted a previous test portrait). It’s based upon a 2005 work callled Piltown Man. Right now I’m going to play around with text and stampabet and where everything goes (sadly you can’t see the awesome High Life composition in the lower right-hand corner).
What do you think? Leave it alone? Let that wonderful yellow-glow (in reality a pure-white infinity curve) breathe as much as it wants?
Although I do think it looks cool as is, esp. the double-arm on the right, you know I love to see you mix the media. If you wanted to let the yellow glow, you could just play with the considerable white space you have to work with.
I’m torn.
I really like it as is.
