This was taken the same night as the Polaroid at the Nick. I hadn’t been to Legion Field since the early nineties, culminating with ‘Bama gaining their twelth national championship in 1992. I also saw my first football game here, in the early 80’s. A good friend is from Memphis and scored a few tickets, so we tailgated and watched Memphis almost beat a big rival of theirs, the surpisingly strong UAB.
I was more excited to be in the old stadium and have pretty free-roaming access. It cracked my friends up that I had no idea how to get there because the only ways I’d ever been were insane backroads, since just taking Arkadelphia would have mired you in traffic for days. It was just fine for us, though.
Wah saw some of these Sunday and liked the contact problems with the film in the second and third photos, and I do, too.

I love the long shot in panel two—not something I’m used to thinking of the Polaroid as being able to do.
