That rug is handmade?? I heart it so much (and it's not faded on the other side). I also heart my chandelier birdcage!

Why didn't anyone ask about the handmade, albeit ruined, pink wool rug, also featured in the photos? Or the birdcage holder with an old chandelier in it? Don't they know I spent minutes decorating your porch in the shabby chic style?

What? No. It was a car driving by playing music. The music did a neat quietquietquietlouderLOUDERloudquietquiet thing. I did not confuse you humming while walking yr dog to the pre-recorded voice of Mr. Elvis Presley.

And, the porch is quite big, but not quite as it might appear from the distorted photos here. If you're wondering, that's Mr. Blurry Polaroid Machine in the bottom right hand one (if anyone has a better name than that . . . please tell me).

Sounds like a swell Sunday. Thos're some crisp-looking polaroids. And I like that the quiet, pleasantly mundane shots are blocking out the obligatory fireworks coverage on the NYT.
