The Walrond coffins (scroll down)

The Borley Rectory (“The Most Haunted House in England”) and the creeeeeepy writing (probably the thing that scared me the most—because people responded to the ghost by writing BACK on the wall, and then the GHOST WOULD WRITE BACK HOLY JAMOLEY I’m freaking out right now)

The Devil Walked in Devon

The Screaming Skull of Bettiscombe Manor“—and, apparently, there’s a whole slew of ‘em in England.

If you noticed all of this stuff was in Great Britain or in British holdings . . . I did last nite, too. Hmm. Maybe the English are cursed?? And, for more creepiness, Mysterious Britain seems to have a LOT.

I totally hate creepy stuff (shivers), but, you know, Happy Friday the 13th!

Ok, that creepy panel with Marianne? Is freaking me out. I went to the Borley Rectory website and looking at the real ghosty handwriting is killing me further.

I will definitely be taking a xanax before bed to stave off dreams of ghostwriters.

  2. The terror of the page on coffins is somewhat undercut by the big bold sub-head that reads “MORE MOBILE COFFINS”. And at least the handwriting one has a semi-happy ending. Happy in the sense that no one gets disemboweled or possessed.

HELL YEAH!! gorj is the ONLY other person i know that read this book growing up. recently i introduced it to La Federala and she found it just as interesting. the one thing i can’t believe you left out…SPRING HEELED JACK! THAT was the one that creeped me out the most!

as for the “happy ending” of the Borley Rectory…man…you hadn’t read the book. it’s scary.

I left out Spring-Heeled Jack BECAUSE I COULDN’T BEAR TO READ ABOUT HIM!! And, you’re awexxome for knowing that, bro. And, I HATE SCARY STUFF.

my stupid office filter won’t let me go to any of this. the sonic wall says they are “forbidden:occult”.
