vinyl & djinni.

Other than that, me & Woodroe got wrecked Friday & Saturday nights, great return-to-form go-out-at-midnight-come-in-at-three stompers—all while he’s recording a new demo with the Atomic Brains.

My downstairs neighbor Dead Flowers and I got into a screaming match about Iraq Friday night—you know, on my porch. At four in the morning. Then on Sunday my Mom checked out the new pad and we went out for Chinese (sadly, China Belle was closed).

UPDATE: I just got a phone message Woodroe left for me yesterday. It was short: “Gorjus: we can’t go out drinking anymore together, because when we do, I try to destroy my liver.”

I love Golden Sun 1…haven’t played the Lost Age. In the first game, I did something really weird, where I skipped a good portion of the quest unexpectedly and all of the monsters were suddenly super-tough, and I had no idea what was going on in the plot. There were all these people I had never seen talking about other people I had never seen. And I barely made it out of the battles. It was the most harrowing RPG experience I’ve ever had, and I beat Final Fantasy III. Okay, I’m going to go kill myself now.

The Lost Age is AMAZING. I was so excited because you actually get to use yr characters from GS—they transfer over!! Of course I had grown quite attached to my little group, but by the time I had access to them (thirty hours in!!) I barely remembered their names!

So although you still only have four characters in battle, imagine having EIGHT characters times what, ten djinni apiece? And all the accompanying Psynergy powers (plus new powers!), plus inventory issues, plus . . . SIGH!! And you can swap the other four in if one goes down in battle—great strategy element.

We’re officially out of the closet as total dorx.

gorjus: you missed a rad episode of Six Feet Under last night. Every character is either in deep shit or on the precipice of deep shit.

Both nights were a lot of fun, but Sunday afternoon/evening was brutal.

I still long for the beauty that somehow made her way to Martins Saturday night…

isn’t that the synopsis for every episode of six feet under?

gorgjus: i was wrong to apologize for calling you a nerd.

    Hee hee!

Complete disclosure: I have called both Sally at work and Vendela at home for emergency internet help when I was stuck (badly, twice) on GS: LA.
