sketches 8.12.04.

faked by Thursday, August 12th, 2004

Today we have a smattering of stupid jokes and more Polariods. And a celebrity portrait!

I like this pencil sketch of a very ’luded Sterling Morrisson, circa 1969ish.

This one will be redone to say “KIDS!” instead of “LADIES!” It’s dirtier that way.

This is a plea to a friend of mine for 3-hole punch safety.

A typical lousy Gorjus sketchbook page. Mumbled images culled from lousy pop songs and random phone conversations. Note Sally’s amazing comment on Mississippi, specifically our racist past: “we should just light a match and start over.” Also note new jokey band name: Fountains of Wayne Coyne. They do really poppy Flaming Lips covers—it’s free! And you got it here!

Here is a Polaroid of jp! Note the bloomin’ tree in the upper-left-hand corner. It’s only there in really dark photos—it’s not at all in the one of . . .

. . . hott glam Sally! She is not only sitting in a mod chair culled from the Milsaps research emporium, she is drinking beer and talking on the phone! And look at that thigh! Rowr!

Enjoy!

girls with short beers and cold skirts are hawt, even if they are smart.

  3. The 3-hole-punch thing doubled me over laughing.

I LOVE your Polaroid photos. For the insert of my next CD, I want you to take photos like these of us and write identifying info on the [insert Sniglet for the white rectangle below the photo itself]. It has to be in your handwriting, though, ‘cause that’s part of what makes them work.

Thanks, KoE! Yaw Pinky, it’s the clock we found—it’s really, really awexxome.

Comment from [unindetified friend with gnarly finger injury from 3-hole punch]: “That 3-hole punch is an asshole.”

for some reason…sometimes…the new windows aren’t adjustable and they aren’t big enough to show the whole picture. i just saw the complete james carville picture yesterday for the first time. before it was clipped off but w/ no scrollies to let me see it all!
