sketches 8.10.04.

faked by Tuesday, August 10th, 2004

Today we have four things:

A Polaroid portrait of Jaxxie with a necktie flung around her shoulders.

A pencil sketch of a very heroic James Carville, complete with halo & “Mary” tattoo; this one will likely return inked.

A Charlie Brown-influenced jp!, sulking at the many misdirections and failures of the Mississippi Legislature.

An early concept sketch of a dove for a Steve Earle show here in Jax benefitting an anti-death penalty group. The later image, much improved, had a crow with a olive branch in his mouth. I felt this really reflected Earle’s “dark horse” image and contrasted it with his steady liberal leanings.

Also, here are some hilarious food creations from the Cherokee last night. What do you do when you order waaay too many (supposedly) jalapeno hushpuppies? Make them into a cute lady doag! Here is hushpuppy with her cute tail and ears. Then here is Jaxxie with her, and then me.

I seem to have much more free time now that I have taken the Bar.

Update!! Gorjus faves & Ms. Comrade darlings I Am the World Trade Center score on the Pitchfork! A 7.2, that’s like six stars from Rolling Stone or some sort of Spin YYY’s handjob! Awexxome and congratulations!
