zogby reports new poll data: 47% want the bastard out, compared with 46% who grumblingly say they’d vote for him again. similarly, shrub’s job performance rating is down to almost a pre-9/11 low.
“kick the bastard out!
whoo-hoo!
kick the bastard out!
whoo-hoo!”
(to the tune of “who’s smoking the pot?“)
he has to drop some more. slow and steady wins the race. i have to believe that we have a chance w/ as much serious, nation hurting crap as has gone on. yeesh.
besides the dropping poll numbers, one thing we have going is that few people (besides the fat-cat repuglican party faithful) realy were ever behind him on issues; rather, they voted for him (in fewer numbers than for gore, but that’s just me still grumbling) because of character/trust. Now, with the uranium/yellowcake flap running into its second week and the usually well-oiled WH spin machine in need of a Maytag repairman, bush’s negatives are shooting up. in essence, the bloom is off the character/trust-me/restoring honor and integrity rose. it’s not enough at the moment to cause a sea change in voter attitudes, but the seeds of doubt are definitely planted.
and i couldn’t be happier. i think i’m going to pour more wine and rant the rest of the night on various blogs < ==Bake’s idea of a fun Saturday night.
Such colorful language:—fat cat—flap—well-oiled WH spin machine in need of a Maytag repairman—integrity rose—sea change—seeds of doubt
Wow!
